“A valuable resource for clinicians working in a neglected area. Craving Change is attractively laid out, coherently presented, and evidence based.  It should be a welcome addition to a great many health care agencies and services.”
Randy Paterson, Director - Changeways Clinic

Craving Change in the Media

Wendy and Colleen have each worked with the media in various capacities.

Colleen and Wendy have co-authored several written works for their colleagues.   The Canadian Diabetes Association publishes the Diabetes Communicator, which is distributed to more than 2,000 health care professionals across Canada.  Read a copy of Colleen and Wendy’s article, "You can do it! Help straighten out disordered eating with cognitive-behavioural strategies", reprinted with permission from the November/December 2008 issue.

Earlier in 2008,  Wendy’s article on mindless eating and the cognitive-behavioural approach entitled Mind-full Eating was published by the Dietitians of Canada, Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Network.

Wendy and Colleen have also garnered a readership with their contributions to resources for the public.  Colleen was recently interviewed by Best Health Magazine for their January / February 2009 issue.  The article highlighted the importance of journalling for gaining a greater understanding of the "when and why’s" underneath eating.  Click here for a peek at the article, also available on newstands.

Wendy was recently featured in an article for the McGill Tribune entitled, "The Myths and Science of Comfort Food".  Wendy was quoted alongside Dr. Brian Wansink, Cornell professor and current executive director of the USDA’s Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.

In 2005, Family Health magazine featured the following popular article, Food and Mood: What to do when boredom leads to donuts, anger to cookies, or tension to chocolate.

As the nutrition columnist for Apple Wellness magazine for 5 years, Wendy has enjoyed writing consumer articles on a great variety of topics.  Check out her articles here.
