As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic self-isolation guidelines, there are many more reports of people struggling to manage emotional eating episodes. ‘Recreational eating’ has also become a common coping strategy that is an acceptable and convenient way to manage inevitable boredom and ‘cabin fever’. We’re pleased to hear that clinicians are turning to Craving Change concepts and resources to support their patients who are concerned about their eating behaviour during these challenging times. Here’s a recent comment we received from Elisa D’Andrea, a dietitian with the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network:
“I can definitely say that it’s great to be a Craving Change facilitator giving me lots of strategies in my back pocket to share with patients.”
