Sarah Pink, RD, who works with a Family Health Team in Ontario, recently shared her enthusiasm for the Craving Change® program and resources:
“I’ve run the Craving Change program as a 6-week workshop at our centre for several years. We have also integrated some of the standalone worksheets into other lifestyle programs for heart health and diabetes/diabetes prevention, as well. I pull out the Types of Hunger, Adopt an 80/20 Mindset, and Positive Self-talk worksheets in many individual visits.”
“I’ve recently discovered the Craving Change resource, ‘Does timing matter?’ in the online library. I’m so excited to use this tool with diabetes patients specifically as I have several who understand the benefit of eating breakfast but then they have a terrible time and don’t feel well eating it. I love that this worksheet, along with the table for timing and observations, may help them see the impact it has on their whole day, rather than getting stuck in the moment of “I’m not hungry in the morning” or “I feel sick if I eat in the morning”. They may discover that they eat too much before bed or that just waiting 30 minutes or an hour longer after waking means that they will be ready to eat and then engaged in making a healthy food choice.”
