Clients Develop a ‘Food Safety Plan’

Posted: January 17, 2017

Megan Hunter, a social worker who recently completed her re-certification with Craving Change Inc., has been helping her clients ‘craving-proof’ their environment. She has a few tips of her own that her clients find helpful.

“I talk a lot with clients about ‘renovating’ the environment at home or work, and how to set themselves up for success.  Many of our clients struggle to avoid drive-thrus and how to make good decisions when feeling rushed or busy.  I like the practical tips outlined in the Craving-Proof Your Environment sheet that enable clients to create their own ‘food safety plan’. I often encourage clients to keep their debit card at home, or leave their wallet or purse in the trunk so it is easier to resist making poor decisions in the rushed moments.”
