We love it when new Craving Change licensees share their experience with the program. Here are some excerpts from feedback received today.
“My response to using the Craving Change approach was very positive. The “Eating Under the Influence of…” strategy provided a practical and structured way for my middle-aged, male client to explore the deeper reasons behind his eating habits. It encouraged meaningful reflection and opened up a non-judgmental conversation about behaviours he previously viewed as simply a lack of willpower.”
“This Craving Change strategy prompted him to reflect on how physical states like tiredness or stress (body), visual cues like seeing snacks on the counter (environment), and routines such as eating while watching TV as way to soothe oneself after a busy day (learned behaviours) may play a role with his concerns. Our discussion helped him recognize that his eating was often not driven by hunger, but by a mix of automatic and emotionally triggered responses. By increasing his awareness of these influences, he was better able to identify patterns and consider small, manageable changes to disrupt them.”
“In a subsequent session with my client, the outcome of using the Craving Change approach was encouraging. He said, “I’m not perfect, but I’m catching myself more often now and thinking about why I’m eating.” This shift in mindset reflected growing self-awareness and a move away from automatic eating behaviours. The strategy helped lay a strong foundation for continued behaviour change, and we plan to build on this progress in future sessions using additional Craving Change tools.”
“Overall, the Craving Change program is a supportive and empowering tool that complements my counselling approach well.”
