A recent article published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health provided support for cognitive behavioural interventions for addressing emotional eating. The article’s conclusion states:
‘This comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis found that psychological interventions to address emotional eating showed some promise in reducing emotional eating and promoting a small amount of weight loss in adults living with overweight or obesity. CBT showed the most promise for reducing weight and improving emotional eating in the sub analyses.’
