Congratulations to Michelle Jospe and her team at the University of Otago, New Zealand for the recent publication of their study examining ‘hunger training’. Michelle, a registered dietitian, asked to use the Craving Change ‘types of hunger’ concept as one of the tools for participants in the study. An interesting result of the hunger training process was that at the end of the study the majority of the eating events recorded by the participants were in response to ‘stomach hunger’ as opposed to ‘mouth hunger’ or ‘heart hunger’.
